The Asian Consulting Group (ACG) launched the magazine-inspired book, “Iwas Buwis-It: What to do when tax attacks” as part of ACG’s advocacy of educating every taxpayer and helping them avoid unnecessary violations.
Iwas Buwis-It is authored by the ACG Founding Chairman and Philippine Tax Whiz, Mon Abrea.
“The book is about why people taxed, how we are taxed, and what kinds of taxes have to be settled,” said Abrea.

He emphasized that Iwas Buwis-It is for everyone; “for us to be responsible taxpayers,” and be able to contribute in nation-building.
The founding chairman added that the book also discusses life in general – one’s career, ideals, and even business ideas.
When asked by Boy Abunda on why everyone should be tax-voided, Abrea told,
“We have to do our share. At the end of the day, we don’t have to be big-time businessmen, or earn much money in order to pay taxes right.”
He said all taxpayers should contribute toward the country’s improvement. That how huge or small the tax we pay, these all matter.
“Iwas buwisit, gawin ang tama. Lahat tayo ay magiging masaya,” Abrea noted.
Press launch of Iwas Buwis-It book is conducted last July 29 at the ACG Tax Hub in The Ignacia Place Building.
The book also highlights tips from Potato Corner CEO Jose Magsaysay Jr., and interviews with celebrities and taxation ambassadors Boy Abunda and James Reid.
Philippine Tax Whiz Mon Abrea has also written other publications including the tax handbook, “Got A Question About Taxes? Ask The Tax Whiz!”
